UPDATE! OUR SCHOOL IS A 3!

Our state growth scores show that on a scale of 1-5, we are a 3 overall in growing kids at least one academic year. This is considered rock solid by the state. Our math growth was a 4, and we are elated by that. Our ELA and Soc. Studies scores were also a 3. These improvements helped get our school off the target for achievement. And we are working toward a 5!

My name is Karen King and I am the principal at West Side. I have been in education for 28 years. For 15 of those years, I was a classroom teacher. The remaining 13 years I have been in administration. West Side is my home school. I attended K-8th grades here, and all my teaching years were here. I was the principal at East Side from 2008-2012, then I came back home. So the success of West Side is very important to me. My husband David and I have four kids and five grandchildren and helping kids has always been my life's mission. My door is always open.
